Original title: Of Oscar and Dragonball~

Haha, you must be feeling weird how come suddenly my blog has so many entry right?
Well, yesterday i added the 'Nuffnang Ads' thingi in my blog, so i suppose to blog more? Whatever la, just so happen got the Dragonball thingi in NA(nuffnang ads) so i wanna write sumting, and also because i just watched the Oscar/81st Academy Awards, so wanna give some thoughts. xD

===========Oscar first==================
So yesterday morning i woke up early (which is rare) to watch Oscar or the 81st Academy Awards. Yea, NTV7 delayed 1 week to air this and i doesnt want to see the repeat on Saturday 11pm, cause i might fall asleep halfway watching it and is higly gonna missed the best actress, actor and best picture lol.

Neways, this year's winner is Slumdog Millionaire for Best Picture. Best Actor is Sean Penn from Milk. Best Actress is Kate Winslet - The Reader. Best animation is Wall-E (i nvr watch it yet lol T_T)

Oh and the Best Music is won by RA Rahman from Slumdog Millionaire. Basically the Score and Music are all won by Slumdog Millionaire.

I realize there's actually a trend in Oscar, when that year had sumting special and nominated alot of awards, they mostly wins alot as well. But i cant comment too much on this as i mostly dint watch any of the Best Picture movies except for those super popular ones. And normally Malaysia is slow in putting these films in cinema. >_>

And so this year's trend is Slumdog Millionaire. A movie that took scenes at Mumbai, India. Actually i wanna comment on the music thou. xD In the ending of the Oscar where they gonna give the award for Best Music, the performers/dancers of the music for SM all came out, with the typical Indian style music. To American it might be very fresh and new to hear this kinda music, for me it wasnt since we can easily hear them in TV and cultural events around us. It is actually kinda funny to hear US based event to have Indi-based music. XD

And because SM won 8 awards out of 14 nominees, the whole Oscar had the Indi feel. haha~ lol.

Noo, Changeling dint get anything except nominated for Best Actress - Angelina Jolie. T_T

Me loved the movie alot... nvm then haiz.~

===========Dragonball==================
Ah and so i was registering Nuffnang Ads while i was watching Oscar, and found out this Dragonball thing.

You know, one thing about movies that was bring alive from comics, games, animations: all the characters's hair turned black. urk. <_<

They could actually just wear a wig for it, and they can perfectly look like the character. A character that was said to be bring alive but the main part(hair) is out of colour and sometimes even out of shape, it just spoiled the mood.

Being a cosplayer we are always very concern over the hair colour and the shape of it. If a cosplayer as small as me can be so concern over it, then why Hollywood, big company cannot bother getting it right or bother to just get a wig for it?

Example: Death note, Misa's hair colour just changed from the nice blonde to black. ur, hey, i think blonde looks better and more original k.

Does they scared wearing wig and all will just make them look like a cosplayer? Nah, i rather they do so than spoiling the character. All my cosplayer friends felt so as well.

And now this Dragonball, the mightly turtle sensei(what i call him xD) is with hair?! I'm sure if they request Chow Yun Fatt to shave his head bald he wouldnt mind it since he did so in many movies such as Pirates of the Carribean 3. And there is NO TURTLE SHELL as well! T_T The trademark man, you ppl just drop it over. Dx

Then Goku, is just merely get the hair slightly long and style it up, but not as epic as the original or even the cosplayer picture i found. =_=

Other characters dont want mention already. Not to mention other great side characters got kicked off from this movie too.. Dx

See how great and similar they gets? And take a look at the hair, it requires a very good patient lotsa hair gels and hard sprays to style them this way. And most amazing is that all are from the same person, she pull it off very well, prolly the best Goku i ever seen! 8Db

Bloody stupid college bus

This post is gonna be quite some cursing, please click the top right red button with a cross sign on ur screen if you cannot bare with it thanks. I had warned you, dont come and cry/complaint/curse/hate to me if you got offended.

Yeah, the reason why at this time i'm suddenly blogging is THANKS to the college bus service and NURSING students.

I'm going to the night market with my colleage Loon Yang, cause the other 5 friends went ahead with William with his car.

So Fox(LY) and I wait for the bus. With lotsa humans as usual. When bus came, we're only 3 person at the back, so i thought, thank god, sure can get in.

And you know what, NO we dint make it, we freaking missed the bus.

OH MY THANK YOU SO MUCH NURSING STUDENTS!!

u see, we're 3 person back, then all these nursing students were taking short cut and push us back and get in the bus from both sides! i had never actually missed to get on a bus with just standing 3 person back. Oh well~

Fun facts of NUC: 90% of the ppl in the bus are of nursing students. Especially thursday afternoon and friday afternoon.
Fun facts of NUC 2: these nursing students who took up all the SEATS n PLACES in the bus get down just outside of the college, Desa College, or the off-campus accommodations.

Due to the "fun facts 2", most of us cannot get in the bus. Although what they do were just wasting the places for ppl like us that need the bus MORE than they do to travel to a MORE further distance.

I tell u, i had never like the nursing students in this college. Last time when i'm holding an event, just because nursing students has a practical and need buses, they got the priveleges and priority is for them. EVERY freaking things is PRIORITY to the NURSING students! =/

I wonder did the nursing students had a subject called "Strategies to hop on the bus". I think they do, thats why they're so freaking good in getting on the bus. BY PUSHING US AND GETTING IN FROM THE SIDE.

I thought nursing students suppose to be caring, patient, and tolerant? I HIGHLY DOUBT IT!

Next time college should just had buses that named: FOR NURSING STUDENTS ONLY.
Then they can get in without PUSHING us aside right? xD

OR college should get a bus(with i doubt it) that is specially for "OBU students only", or whatever it is, with extra note "EXCEPT for nursing students".
Ah, how i wish this could ever come true, then we dont havta see their faces already. But i dont think so, since college is everything for the nursing students. BLEH.

At there we met my other colleages Sarah and Siao Ling (sorry i nvr know how to spell ur english name lol). Apparently, right after Fox n i decided to leave n take 6.15pm bus(before we know William gonna fetch us), the bus that dropped them at CP came back.

Haiz, whatever it is, at least we get to go and got myself Nasi Padang + Cheese Cake. =D did i make u ppl sliver drooling? >D

And so wedges Wei Shez commented in this entry, so i gonna write a little more on what she commented.

Yeah, it is FREAKING right that even the nursing students took up lecture halls and class rooms in college as well.

I remembered last year when the semester just started, we're suppose to have a class at Lecture hall, but that time all these FARKING nursing students used our room and PRIORITY to them, so we HAVE to move and squeezed ourself in a small room. GREAT JOB nursing students for 'CONQUERING' suppose-to-be-ours lecture hall.

oh and speaking of the library. Well yeah. Got CONQUERED by nursing students too. library's computers are limited, i mean, VERY limited. And still they all used it for Facebook, Friendster, chatting. I mean it is not wrong they use it at the peak hour for own leisure since i did use it for that too, (when i dont have my PC/no internet connection n desperate to use one)but is rare, i turned no mood with the speed n just stop playing them. Man, some ppl does not own PC/laptop and in need of internet can die wei.

You know, these nursing students are not just 2 or 3 individuals u know, they move in GROUP. Which is like 10 per time? thats why you will suddenly see a whole bunch of them. @_@ Then they'll take up everything, every space, every computer.

And then, the canteen. Yeah, they conquered there as well.
This year there's a malay food stall, i think it is open SPECIALLY for the nursing students. Lemmie explain to u further details.
During lunch hour, you will see the shopkeeper will prepared lotsa lotsa packed food, and syrup in plastic bags. It is SPECIALLY for them. My friend said they might got sponsored by gov and get the food for free. So got once i checked, nope, they paid it. But what the hell they are like having special service? ALL PACKED UP for them?!
And then they'll like lining up to get their food (think it like National Service style), and blocked us that need to go pass that place. The line is so FREAKING long! =/

In short, I DOES NOT LIKE NURSING STUDENTS kthxbai.

PS: hmm, not really having lotsa cursing words, well yeah, soft hearted i guess. =D

NUC Toastmasters Club-International Speech and Table-Topics Contests

being forced to write this T_T

On the 17th of February 2009, Nilai UC Toastmasters Club had their first Club Level International Speech and Table-Topics Contests, Area C5, Division C, District 51.

As the Organizing Chairperson of this event, I must said that this was a success!

===========CREDITS===========
We had judges coming from PD Toastmasters Club: Mr. G.T. Singam, ACB/CL, Area C5 Governor. Ms. Rosa Phua, and Mr. Tan Soo Guan.

Contestants for Club Level Table-Topics Contest: Lim Khai Hong, Mohd. Azhar Ahmad, Jeremy Teo and Luke Callistus Rayan.

Contestants for Club Level International Speech Contest: Gregory Sim and Jeremy Teo.

Not forgetting the role-players who helped to contribute to this night. Toastmaster of the Day-Gregory Sim, SAA 1-Amos Tay, SAA 2-Allysa Cho Shu Kei, Timer 1-Cheong Yee Mun, and Timer 2-Pee Nai Yen.

Without the role-players, the event cannot run smoothly, without the contestants, there'll not be a contest anymore, and without the judges, we wouldn't be able to have the best wins. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

==========What happen that night================

At 1915, members and guests came to the R306, the place where the Club Level International Speech and Table-Topics Contests held. We then arranged the tables and chairs to get ready for the big day.

Shortly after that, PD Toastmasters Club Judges arrived. They distributed the forms for contestants to fill in, and the forms for the timers. They also briefed the contestants and role-players about the rules and regulations of today's contest.

At 1940, Gregory as the TOD start off by introduces TM and role-players. After that, the Club Level Table-Topics Contest started. The topic chosen for the TT is 'Trust or Honesty in a relationship?' It is not an easy question to be honest. =D
The first one to go off was Lim Khai Hong, while the other 3 were quaranteen guided by SAA to be ready at next door so they wont overheard the title and prepare on their own beforehand. The next one was Mohd. Azhar Ahmad, following with Jeremy Teo and Luke Callistus Rayan.

When the TT was finished, it is time for Contestants for Club Level International Speech Contest. Since Gregory is participating in this contest, the chairman for this IS is replaced by Amos. And so, Gregory Sim started his speech and followed by Jeremy Teo.

After the tensed moment for the contest, we had 5 minutes break. Then Gregory Sim had some Q&A session with the contestants and the guests who attended the night.

Here comes the most important and most awaited moment of the night, the result for both International Speech and Table-Topics Contests!

*Drum rolls* da-tum, da-tum, da-tum...
And who is the winner? First runner-up for Table-Topics Contests is Lim Khai Hong. Champion for Table-Topics Contests is Jeremy Teo!
As for the International Speech was won by Jeremy Teo as well!

Congratulations to Jeremy Teo for winning both of the contest! *applause*

With GT giving out the certs for the contestants and role-players, the great night ended.

Valentine's Singles Sing K outing! \o/

Alright proceed to 2nd part of the post! \o/

Like i said earlier, i had a fever n heavy sore throat. But then saturday go for Singles Sing K outing(Neway), so lost even more voice. @_@

Apparently i only sang for 3-5++ songs (with some is all mix n sing ones. xD). cause:
-i seldom hear mandarin/canto songs
-i only hear english songs?
-i have no voice to sing

I actually got a little voice in the evening ade, but after that, gotten worst. ^^;;
but oh well, for the lulz.
most important is to have fun right?
and THANKS JOTHAN for treating us half of the price. It is trully alot lolz.

Oh and just so you know, i had been like erm, 10+ years never went to Karaoke?
The previous one was with my parents i think, dint even remember where is it, with who. and i think i dint sing that time, i was so young back then. xDso i was so nooby. DDx

And you know what, i'm so so nooby that i pressed the same song for about 7 times. @_@

I chose 'Dearest' by Ayumi Hamasaki, cause thats the only Japanese song they had.But then the lyrics are in nihonji. OMG. luckily i still barely remember the lyric. ^^;;
oh and of course they skipped the other 6 times of course. ^^;;

then i get Jay Chou's '说好的幸福呢' , cause it is like the only chinese song that i hear n know? lol
(lol and sorry Xue Fen cause i lost the voice so it is not as accurate as i used to sing. xD)
erm, 'You raise me up'. Cause i heard jap version, and learn the other 2 english version, but they only had Westlife's ver. Just hit it la. xD

and get some Backstreet Boys. It is so nostalgic, and also because 2 days b4 i heard it in college. But i totally forgot how the lyrics goes*. lol
then and some random that i heard b4 but first time see the MTV, first time know who sang it and the title. CC passed me the mic, so i just try to shout my voice out lol. kesian aku. Dx

*yea, i normally hear songs without knowing who sang, whats the title. and if i really wanna learn that song, i will go find the lyric, and found out all i knew was wrong. Dx i had a bad ear. oTZ

But all in all, we really had fun. and also the fact that i had been so long dint go for one. Thx to the ppl who invited me along and thx Jothan for treating all of us. ^^b

I realize there are actually people come visit my blog, on quite a frequent basic and as well return visitors. So i gonna put in some effort to blog more interesting stuff. *i try* xD

like the title said, i really did enjoy WITCH's soundtrack especially midnight. Hearing all her shriek and shout and the music, it is trully amusing. 8D

and u probably think i am insance to like her soundtrack lolz. (i hope i did not scared my neighbour up by playin in the middle of the night with loud speaker. ^^;;)

will convert it into mp3 and put as my ringtone, since my hp cant use any song as alarm (can only use default set-in ones. Dx). if not it is so gonna be 'alertful' and wake up in the morning to hear the Witch's cry/moan. XD or it might became the 'lullaby' instead? lol IDK. xD

oh and it is actually hilarious to hear all her shriekings and cries (not to sound sarcastic la). Sam doesnt believe it, and said i am crazy. Yesterday when i showed her, we're ROFLOAO (rolling on floor laughing our @$$ off). NOW YOU KNOW. The influence of Witch is trully amazing. xD

Now in game we normally avoid as much we can, haiz. <--- sound so wrong. O_o
Yea i kinda 'missed' cause disturb her is fun and u'll shout out loud. xD But for our life-bar's future, we havta planned up. @_@

Valentine's Day

It has been long since i last blog~

Yea yea, many things happenned, many assignments to coop with~ oTZ

Well, at least i settled up the mistake i make last weekend. We're both alright now! ^^

And, today i make the entry cause, in 5 mins time, will be V day~ Nah, not sumting special for me as it will be just another or 20th single V day for me anyway~

And also why i suddenly blog is because i have nothing to do since i slept for about 21 hours today. yea, you heard it right, i slept too too much today. xD

Why?

Cause today early morning 8am woke up and finished up edit the reference list my group member make, it is so so wrong that i havta back track and check whether or not they use that webpage's content. Dx
Then after that i went to sleep cause i have a terrible sore throat.

12pm i woke up suppose to go KTM there to do sumting with Greg for the Toastmasters' contest next Tues. But i realize i have fever. The whole body's so heat up and body aching everywhere. so i get Greg to settle this for me (i know i m suppose to responsible for this matter, but sorry la, a sudden sick wei)~

Weird isnt it?

I ran 10 rounds on wednesday, feeling sick on wednesday. But Thursday i'm so very healthy + no body ache at all. Now on friday i'm aching every parts of my body + fever + sore throat. ^^;;

I continued to sleep til 4+ then i called my mom and report this to her lo. get some medicine ate and check with Sam. She said some link broken up sumting, so i settle with her lo. *and she is the happiest woman in the world with her partner's sudden appearance and celebrate V day with her* was secretly planned by CC and SW.
Lol, i'm sorry to interrupt you both 2mrw today(since it is 12am now) on the V day with her.

What to do i got invited to join CC and Jothan for V day's singles party to Sing K. With Jothan treat all of us half of the price (got forced by Sam xD). After settle with Sam then i continue sleep again cause my eyes are painful, head are head aching, body felt heaty.
And woke up at 9.30pm, then just nice mom called. To check me up. the fever has gone, at least i can feel slightly better now. then she got me to drink some salt water, for which until now it is still too salty to finish them just yet lol. Dx I have 2 swiss rolls + a cup of milk b4 the salt water thingi la. XD

But then to think of it, i wonder can i survive 2mrw to Sunway anot. far journey wei, summore i wanna go to Mid Valley to get myself a new goggle. =D
